Welcome to the First Day of the Catastic Event!

Are you all as excited as we are?

Pumpkin can hardly contain himself.
He's rolling around like a crazy cat!
Well, he kind of does this all the time but we'll pretend, OK?

Today I would like to tell you a little bit about AniMeals.
That the is the shelter we are supporting with our commentathon on Friday.
We are also collecting a whole bunch of good stuff to take to them.

AniMeals is in Missoula, Montana. That is where we go to the evil vet when we have to do that.
They are a no kill adoption center and animal food bank.
They have even helped goats and horses and pigs!
They have served over 1.5 million meals in the last five years and saved the lives of countless animals!
They are a 501(c)(3) non profit supported entirely by donations.

As I am sure you are aware all shelters need all the help they can get so we Farm cats and going to help AniMeals. Because we are very lucky cats. We have a home, lots of good food, toys and treats. But most of all we have lots of love. All animals deserve love.

To kick off the big Catastic Event we are happy to present you with a giveaway from the Quaker Pet Group and their division - SuperCat. Sherpa thinks they are talking about him - HA! It's really all about great catnip infused toys for your kitties. SuperCat makes fun catnip infused toys for cats that work a bit like scratch 'n sniff stickers! The line currently has markers, stickers, "caves", crumples, and mini plush toys with Supercat spray for long lasting catnip scent.

I am excited to meow to you that SuperCat is also donating a prize package to AniMeals!
Hooray for Quaker Pet Group!

Now for that giveaway - I know you want to know how to win, right? Well guess what? THREE of you will win! That's right! The very nice people from SuperCat have given us three prize packages worth $50 each!

You can either accept it for your kitties or take it to your local shelter. How exciting is that?  It is only open to the US but if you are in another country you can enter for kitty friends in the US or to be sent to a shelter in the US.  Just hop on the Rafflecopter - good luck everyone and thank you for visiting on this first day of the Catastic Event!

Now that you have entered the giveaway be sure to head over to the publicist's blog for a very interesting guest post from Jeanne of Random Felines all about fostering kittens. You will enjoy it - I know you will!

I am about 8 and she is about 2. And we had trouble understanding how to search for products at Quaker site. So a sherpa tote would be really nice to have. thank mew, Savvy

    ReplyDelete
  43. I have three cats - all rescues. Koneko is a 9-year-old Maine Coon that found his way to our yard in 2006. We did everything we could to find his family, but as there was a large apartment complex not far from us that was torn down about that time, and many of the people who had pets there couldn't take them with to their new places, so many were just left in the apartments or dumped around the area. I think that's where he came from. Moko was found as a stray by a friend's father, who couldn't keep her. She's a 5-6 year old grey tabby DSH who is the most affectionate cat we've ever had. Then there's Arata, who is 10 months old and technically my daughter's (she still lives at home). He's orange tabby with white DSH who is high energy and very affectionate.

  45. Two kitties live with us now. One is a black shorthair cat with the loudest purr in all of catdom, with lots of extra fingers and toes on her front paws. Her sister is a frail, elderly longhair calico who used up eight lives a few years ago but still has a tremendous will to live and is making the most out of her ninth life.

  46. I have 3 cats. One is a cuddler, one is a supervisor and the last one is a sweetheart.

  52. I have 6 cats now, down from 8 - we lost 2 to Cancer in the past few years. All of ours are rescues. We've got a 15 year old Grey Tabby who rules my house, a senior Tortie who'd prefer I don't divulge her age, a 12 year old White & Grey Tabby male, and then 3 mostly Black boy kitties who are all turning 6 this year. One's a black tabby, one's a one-eyed pirate kitty with a tuxedo and the other is a mostly black kitty with just a tiny white spot on his tummy - he's my feral boy. We rescued him as a 2+ year old feral, un-imprinted, spraying male. He's come a long way, but we're still working our way up to more then the occasional 1-finger pet. They'd all love anything with catnip.

  59. I have 4 females inside.Three of them are solid white long haired cats and also 3 generations (grandma, mom, and daughter). The fourth is short haired that looks a lot like your cat Pumpkin.I also have my big boy grey outside (he does not like indoors).

    ReplyDelete
  60. I would love to have the Sherpa Cat Tote. We have 4 cats so we are at the vet often and right now we just have bulky plastic carriers that are awkward to carry.

    ReplyDelete
  61. We have 4 cats one Gray Tabby named Chip, one Siamese mix named Stripes, one Orange Tabby named Good Boy, and one Solid White named Lightning.

    ReplyDelete
  62. I also like hear doggy plush especially the penguin.

    ReplyDelete
  63. I have long haired tortoiseshell who thinks everyone is her best friend. Six months younger than her is my shy little Sheeba. The odd thing is that Sheeba has been coddled by the family since she was a kitten and my tortie was adopted from a shelter when she was somewhat older. You would think their personalities would be just opposite.

    ReplyDelete
  64. I'd like the Infrared Massager for my seniors.

    ReplyDelete
  65. I have a Siamese cat that shares a home with three bulldogs, so she deserves something nice.
