Freedom Day

How appropriate for July 4th weekend.
It was Freedom Day.
No, not for me sillies.
I can be free any time I want. The publicist lets me roam where I want.

It was Freedom Day for the little chickens!

The male person opened up their little door.
It was the first time they would be able to run free!

He opened it up, let down the ramp and....
Nothing.
Nada.
No little chickens!

So we waited.
And waited.
And then after several minutes....

A LITTLE CHICKEN STUCK OUT ITS BEAK!

And then THREE little chickens stuck out their beaks!
It was getting crowded in the little hole.
Soon the excitement grew.

A chicken stepped out of the chicken house!
And that's as far as it went.
A big chicken came by, pecked the little chicken, scared it to death and they all ran back in and they didn't come back out again.

Silly little chickens!
Maybe they will come out tomorrow.

  1. Those are truly silly little chickens indeed! But we're pretty sure it won't take them long to be outside and pecking around.

Can the fence keep them in?
