Our Exotic Hen

Today's post is going to be a short post.
I am exhausted.
With all the sunshine we have been having I have been hard at work basking away.
And eating those carrots.

It's hard on a goat and I need my beauty sleep.
So today I am going to introduce you to our exotic hen.
You might recall that the publicist thought she was a Dark Brahma.

She still thinks that.
She is a shy hen and the publicist had a hard time getting pictures of her.
I think she looks pretty funny with her feathered feet.

What do you think?

She does have some very pretty green and purple feathers that light up in the sun but she would not pose so the publicist could show you them.
Maybe another time.

She will soon be laying eggs for the publicist and male person.

  1. She is a very pretty hen. But she might have been a little heavy-handed on the rouge!

  3. To another of her, uh, line, she's gorgeous and will make beautiful eggs... so do you feel safe running about?... I've heard of so many folks having problems with their fowl disappearing over night leaving nothing but feathers as clues... be careful and stay in your roost... you have a lovely home and want you to enjoy a long-life of greens and grain...

  5. We think she is lovely. We especially like the black feathers with white trim..very fancy!

Mom thinks Bob and Patrick would enjoy some hens, but we have hawks and we feel that they would enjoy them, too.

  6. I like your exotic hen! We have the Light Brahams here and they are such good layers and calm chickens.
They lay a big brown egg too!

There are some shy chickens here that don't like their pictures made. I point the camera and they turn the other way.

    Have a great day.

  7. I think she is lovely! I hope you recover from all that basking and carrot eating. Oh, the life of a spokesgoat.
