Chicken TAXI?

You will recall that we have a chicken tractor in our goat pen. You will recall that I was not happy about this. I think perhaps that Jillian and Mallory are even less thrilled than I at the moment. Unless they are charging the chickens for this service.....

Are Jillian and Mallory running a chicken TAXI service? Is that why there are chickens on their backs?

Are they charging the chickens grain for this service?
Hmmm, I wonder.

I would not sink so low. I have my dignity. I would not walk around with a chicken flapping its wings on my back.

I think that chicken looks just a bit too comfortable up there. What do you think?

I think they are spending too much time with the chickens. Perhaps they are like little Kevin and they are not sure if they are chickens or goats!

I think Jillian and Mallory are silly goats. Harumph!

  1. Oh dear I am glad I don't drink coffee or I would have spit it on my screen this morning. There definitely must be some sort of payment here, no self respecting goat would allow that for free.

    Silly goats indeed.

    Smiles,

  4. I wonder if it is a "you scratch my back, I'll scratch yours" kind of thing going on. Perhaps the goats like the way it feels when the chickens scratch their backs. We have birds land on our llamas backs and scratch and peck around and the llamas don't seem to mind, at least as long as the bird doesn't stay there for too long.

  6. Looks like a good time for a goaty to take a sideways running kick and jump!

  7. Oh my gosh! You'd think the chickens would be scared of them! And what would the goats charge? Eggs?

  8. Maybe chickens are smarter than I originally thought! Let's hope they don't poop while up there. That's where I'd draw the line . . .

  14. Lisa - I am glad my story gave you a smile. They are silly goats!

Sandy - well then, this is the place to be!

Cici - the publicist is a buckle making fool. She makes them with all kinds of different combinations of fruits.

    Split Rock - now that's a thought!

Daisy - you are a very funny cat. Chicken scratch! heh heh

Reese - I think you might be right!

Pooba - those chickens do not fear much.

D'Anna - no sign of that but then we goats don't care much where we poop.....

jaz - I know the tale of which you write. heh heh. We just need a few more animals.

Carolyn - it is not boring around here, that's for sure.

AB - I think the chickens would appreciate that. Do you read Pearls Before Swine?

Frogs - probably the ONLY thing chickens are smart about.

Jennifer - I really think they snuck Jillian and Mallory some grain.

  15. Those chickens are really working it. I am glad to hear that you refuse to allow the chickens to steal a free ride from you.

  16. So I am thinking the chickens are great fashion for goats. You know like a cool accessory such as a parrot on a human. NO??

  17. We put a spare rooster in our goat pen for some fly control, and he lives in the goat barn with them. What really cracks me up is when he is on one of the goats and they actually walk slower so he doesn't fall off. Our Nubians let the rooster "roost" but our LaMancha will have nothing to do with that silliness!
