Welcome Kevin the Goat!!!

For the first time the publicist is writing the blog! I am most happy to report that after a day of labor we have a new little buck on the Happy Goats Farm - please welcome Kevin the goat.

I stayed with Pricilla for her labor; she seemed more at ease when I sat with her, so sit with her I did. I can't say my back was happy with that decision but Pricilla was. Fortunately for her she had Kevin right before I had to leave for a doctor's appointment. I just knew she would go into labor when I had to be somewhere!

Both the male person and I were expecting twins as Pricilla had always had them in the past but this time she only had one kid. But he is a rather large kid so perhaps that is why there is only one. He is a cute little guy and more photos will follow. Funny that a mostly brown goat and cow colored goat could create a almost all white goat. The recessive genes in these animals are amazing for color.

Pricilla will be taking a few days off from blogging and Abby will be here to fill you in on all the news from the Farm. Oh, we would have had more pictures from the birth but the male person thought using the flash was the way to go...it was not. That is all I am going to say.

  6. I kept telling "him" that the flash would not be a good thing but of course the man knew what was best. *sigh*

Pricilla is doing just fine. She and Kevin are sitting in her pen under a nice little heat lamp to keep warm; it was chilly this morning.

He is a fluffy little guy. Much bigger than Sarah or Michael were at birth. I am going to bring him out later today when it warms up and will take more photos.

  10. He's cute! I thought you knew he was twins since you kept referring to him as a twin! I think modern day flashes must be much brighter I find I can hardly ever use a flash now without it washing out everything!

  15. He is adorable, you must all be so proud.

What the hell has happened to me? I teared up when I saw the pictures. And then I started really crying these happy tears. I feel like the aunt or something. I hadn't realized how much I was looking forward to this event. I'm a dork.

Congratulations! Hope they both get some rest.
